Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

waited for the server to come back up (it was down when i got home), took ages to download the launcher (guessing from traffic but about 20mins), just spent 3 hours downloading the demo (mostly my connection i think, but a long time) and now after all that waiting, it cant find my username, massive sad face (where should i send my sad face for a fix)

Contact@camshaftsoftware.com - but FIRST check that you're typing your username correctly, noting that it is case sensitive! (Strange I know.. its a database thing..)

Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

Hi

If you do not select an option for the catalytic converter, you are still allowed to click the test button.
When doing so you get a warning

Step() Failed!: [string "..."]:733: attempt to index local 'cat' (a nil Value)

OKing this warning produces a "LUA error" wich repeats the above err text.
Cancel this error and you crash out
Retry this error and you return to the game just prior to when you click test.

Clear solution is to validate the selection of a cat when required or to assume no selection=the NONE option

I wonder if it would be better to replace the fuel selctors with ticks (checks) rather than crosses. At one point i got confused and thought the cross indicated a fuel that the engine would not be allowed, thereby momentarily selecting all the wrong types.

Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

an engine doesn't have mpg, as it doesn't drive an all.
an engine in a lightweight car can make 50mpg, but mounted in a 3t truck it'll do 20mpg ;)

This isn't a bug, it's a feature. Stops you rushing ahead and producing unfeasable engines.

Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

Is there a bug in it ? I'm getting OVERADDICTED !!!
I just looooove it and the only thing I found is that we can't resize the engine designer. I know it has already been answered. Could we have a fullscreen button on the window then ?

Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

I know it's not a bug, but thanks for explanation. I was just trying to find what's the reason of jmp2006's problem.
