Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

A lot of these issues seem to be from the actual user's machine, and not the Designer Demo itself.

I for one, have had not one single error while playing the demo. It was a little laggy, until I turned the ambient occlusion off. But other then that, no issues what so ever. Sometimes, during certain engine configurations, towards the end of testing I hear a few "pop/crackle" sounds. I am, however, assuming this is the sound of backfire coming out of the exhaust.

The only actual thing involving Automation and my computer is that once every few hours (Yes, I've been playing it for a LOONNNG time so far) I get a "CPU" warning from Norton stating that Automation is using too much memory/CPU. Setting Affinity and Priority to "High" seem to have solved this problem for me however, as a warning has not presented itself for quite some time. I do not know if others have had the same?

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, screen resolution is set at 1920 x 1080, I have 8 GB of memory, and am using a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 Graphics card.

No catalytic converters in the "Spinning Faster" scenario.

Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

No other errors then already mentioned in this topic. Install / download worked flawless @ W7 x64. Game is running perfectly.

Few thinks i noticed: (systemspecs: Windows 7 x64 / Core i7 920 @ 3,4Ghz, 6GB ram, HD6970 ).
The GPU seems to work pretty hard, since the GPU starts making some noise after a few minutes of playing. It does the same with games like BF3, but i woulnd expect the game be so much GPU heavy?.

The engine designer display is pretty small when your running 1920*1200. I would prefer it a little bigger.

Installation / download worked flawless.

I preorderd but cant turbo charge my engines?. Think this isnt available atm?.

Forced induction (turbos and superchargers) will be coming soon for those who pre ordered.

Also in a chat session earlier, I said the same thing regarding engine designer display size. Apparently it would cause massive lag when you scaled the UI, so they removed it.

Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

there are some issues with the tutorial videos that they are cutting out befor finishing properly. The graphics on my computer seemed rather lacking compared to what i've seen on livestream and the demos on youtube.

There is no edge smoothness on anything and you see edges everywhere, even on 1920x1200... dont have anything else at the moment.

Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

I cant change the resolution? Native is 1920x1080, where as Automation picks 1440x1050. I change it to my native res, I get the little box stating settings changed require a game restart. Restart the game, im back to 1440x1050?

EDIT: If it helps;
Win 7 x64bit
3.4GHz Quad Core
8GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti

I'm not getting a catalytic converter showing up in "Spinning Faster," either, and I'm running regular unleaded, too.

Re: Engine Designer Demo - OFFICIAL BUGS THREAD

guess i had the same problem nightwave is referring to in the post above. for me, clicking on the "help in this section" button on the right hand side made the catalytic converters stop hiding.
