Been following the automation project since the start of this year and am loving it more with every update.
Thought i should finally join in on the forum with telling you about my cars.
I own 2 cars, a 1998 Toyota Starlet which ive had since i was 15 and a 1990 Mazda MX5 which i purchased halfway through this year.
The starlet i've slowly been modding over the last 5 years, taking it from bog standard nana spec to a 1500cc powered Glanza V replica
Sorry if pics come out huge
How it started
And how it is today
Mods ive done to it
-Full 2-1/4" exhaust system with 3" tip
-5E-FHE Engine swap
-Link V5 ECU
-EL44 cynos/paseo front seats
-Glanza v dash
-98 spec Glanza V front bumper, headlights and bonnet
-Glanza rear bumper, tail lights and hatch
-Customized glanza side skirts to fit the rear doors
-15x6.5" SSA Rush mags with 195/50-15 tyres

-Glanza front sway bar

-Rear strut brace
-New shocks & Jamex superlow springs
-GT starlet front brakes
-Maybe a turbo
Probably more that ive forgotten over the years
And the mx5.
Bought this car to be a cheap fun daily so i could dedicate the starlet to track work.
Oh how I was wrong, ive been bitten badly by the modification bug on this car.
Friends talked me into taking it to a drift day at the local skid pad and i had too much fun
I got it for $2700nzd with 160'000k's on it, only bad points were a torn soft top and a slightly slipping clutch.
It luckily came with a spare soft top.
And how it is now
Mods ive done to it in the last 6 months
-Replacement radio surround
-Factory style front lip
-15x8" OG Oldskool mags with 205/50-15 tyres
-Have a hardtop spoiler on the way
-JVC Head Unit
-Stock speakers in front.
-Hooked headrest speakers back up
-Tein s-tech springs(didnt get me as low as i wanted)
-Forced induction of some sort
-Skinnier tyres(currently has a bit of guard rub)
-Replace all rubber bushes
-Do a foamectomy on the seats (im 6'3" and my helmet sits against the roof )
Questions and comments are welcome. Ive got more build and racing pics if anyone wants to see them
